California kid, troublemaker, geek. Greatest joys: family, music, politics and chocolate.

I worked with software and technology companies in California’s Silicon Valley for over 20 years, and made a career of mostly doing things for which a degree, training courses or certification didn’t even exist until after I had already done them. I also enjoy composing on the piano, local volunteer efforts, and thinking up new ways to solve old problems.

Currently focused on my own interests and projects, including the Civic Promise.
